Funnel Cakes, Fried Oreos, The Zipper and Nausea with Great Friends

The other weekend we spent in Huntersville with family. On Saturday night we went to the Carbarus County Fair with Emily and Andrew and Rachel met us there! Although I and Baby Danner couldn't ride any of the rides it was still fun just to see how much food Andrew and Jesse could consume and then get on a ride.

This photo is the first mistake...haha! Andrew and Jesse ate a huge sausage dog with peppers and onions before getting on the Zipper. Needless to say...when they got off they were white as ghost and regretted the dogs...

Rachel and Emily rode a generic version of Drop Zone...needless to say it had no effect on them...
but the boys felt quite differently...they quickly got sick after this photo...
Rachel and I at the fair :)
As you can see, Rachel and Emily were wayyy excited about the frozen bananas....how hilarious is Emily's face???
We had a great time with friends and although I was the pregnant one, I probably felt the least nauseated at the end of the night. :)

A Party for Baby Danner

On the Thursday of the first baby appointment, our dear friend Rachel threw us the most amazing party to celebrate our little one! We were soo excited about the party and seeing everyone, we forgot to take any pictures. Luckily Rachel took a few and I stole them from her blog. She had done soo much to make us feel so special...from cupcakes, to balloons, to a taco bar and cute little picture frame of our little baby.

How sweet is that? It says "Thank heaven for little babies"

Thanks Rachel for going out of your way to make our day so special! We love you!

We Saw God Today...

Jesse and I had our first appointment with the doctor on Thursday. We were expecting to see the baby or something that resembled a baby but nothing could have prepared us for when we first saw that heartbeat. While my eyes immediately filled with tears of happiness and amazement, Jesse was smiling from ear to ear. They showed us the umbilical cord (the small cord on the bottom left) and we also got to see all the babies arms and legs. At one point it actually moved and did a little wiggle dance for us.

On my way home from work I heard the song by George Strait "I Saw God Today" and I couldn't help be agree. To see that little heart beat going and it move inside of me...wow the most amazing and indescribable feeling of all time. We truly felt like we saw a glimpse of God's face and how beautiful His love really is.

His fingerprints are everywhere
I'd just slow down to stop and stare
opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today

Vacation in Charleston

The last week in August, we took a family vacation to Charleston. We stayed at the Turners beautiful beach house and relaxed by the pool. Below are a few photos from the week...

The boys went and toured some historical sights...

The whole family before dinner at Magnolias...my favorite restaurant in Charleston!

He had Paul Frank pj's with band aids all over them and a shirt that said "chicks dig scars"...too cute!
One day we visited the SC Aquarium and all ended up enjoying the fish as much as Turner...

He loved playing in the pretend boat...
Look at all those fish...

Turner decided after putting his clothes on he would like to get back in the pool with his clothes and diaper...I had to take a picture...it was hilarious!

Weekend in Huntersville

On our last trip to Huntersville we got to spend lots of time with family!!! Below are a few photos...

Emily and I were showing off these awesome leg warmers...

The Chef...
When we got home the dogs aka Rachel had written us notes and done all sorts of chores for Jesse and I. Rachel did such a great job keeping the dogs I think they like her keeping them better than us...

The "puppies" had done our laundry...
Washed the sheets and towels...

And reorganized all our messy cabinets. To others this may not seem like such a beautiful picture but to us it was AMAZING!

A great weekend with family with a wonderful surprise when we returned...ahh life is good!
