Bryson's New Outfits...

On Wednesday while in Wilmington, I ran by a new children's boutique my friend Nicole had recommended, Froggy Pond. I had wanted to go before but knew it would be trouble when I did...haha...but when a mom from Bella's music class told me the outfits were buy one get one free...who wouldn't go by? As soon as you walk in you see so many adorable outfits that are embroidered and you know it is going to be bad. Although they do have more stuff for girls than boys, the boys stuff is still adorable. I ended up picking up Bryson the two outfits below...

This one is by Kissy Kissy (one of my favorite brands because they are so soft and sweet). It is a little onsie with trains embroidered on it...
A closer look at the embroidery...look at the detail even around the collar...aww I love it!
The back of the outfit...
Now this outfit is what I found first and just loved it. It is corduroy and has a little rocking horse embroidered on it. It even has "hair" where the mane and tale are. It is a nine month outfit so hopefully he will be able to wear it for most of the fall/early winter.
A closer look at the rocking horse. Ahh Mommy cannot wait to dress her little man in this outfit...he is going to be adorable.
A special thanks for Grammy D for the outfits and Bryson said he will have to make a special trip to their house to wear it for them. :) Less than three months till our little munchkin is here! :)

Progress on Bryson's Nursery

We have been getting everything ready for Bryson's arrival. Although his expected arrival date is still three months away, from today in fact, we want to have everything ready. Below are a few photos from our latest work...

On the last trip to Coats, Mom and I went to pick out his fabric that will cover the rocker. This is what we found after searching high and low for the perfect fit. It is white with big orange swirls that match perfectly to his bedding...
His dresser (which by the way is already full...haha) and his rocker minus the cushions (they are being covered.)
This is his crib with the quilt from his bedding. It has little sailboats and fish on it in all different primary colors. It is absolutely adorable!
This photo of Emma has nothing to do with his nursery but it was too cute to leave off. On Sunday Jesse and I were being lazy and after Jesse got up from the couch, Emma stayed. She was laying there all covered up like a little human...it was priceless.

Bryson's Room is Painted!

On Thursday, Jesse took off a half a day and painted Bryson's room. As you can see he got it all done that afternoon and evening. After work I went to Verizon to get my phone figured out and when I got home he had it all ready as a surprise. We couldn't be happier with the color. It is called Celery by Sherwin Williams and is a really pale "baby" green. It is going to look sooo good with all his furniture and bedding. What a great Daddy little Bryson has to work so hard on his room after working that day! I am so proud of the man he is and think I'm the luckiest woman in the world to be married to him!

Below are a few photos of his room...keep in mind the white piece of furniture won't be in there when we get his crib and stuff all together. You can see from the photo his dresser on the left...already put together by Jesse Ray.

Yay for a beautiful painted nursery for our little munchkin!

Washing Machine+Tide+Downy+Blackberry= Sad Carrie

On Thursday morning, I got up and decided I was going to have a productive morning. I started our with a little yoga on the Wii Fit then took the dogs for a nice 30 minute walk. (By the way...it was freezing outside!) When I got back I folded a load of laundry, put one load in the dryer and started another load...wow so productive right? Well after my shower, getting ready, packing my lunch, etc I was heading out the door when i noticed i couldn't find my phone. I looked and looked and then it hit me..."NOOOOOO...i bet i left it in my sweatshirt, which is now in the washer." Needless to say I was correct and found my poor little Blackberry Curve in the washer...full of water and completely destroyed.

It is funny how we today become so dependent on these technological devices. I mean on my cell phone I can check my email, text, call, surf the Internet, get directions, etc...how crazy? I remember the day when my parents had a bag phone and that was the coolest thing around. I actually remember showing it off to my friends because very few people actually had one. Then we progressed to the StarTec's...a plain black flip phone...no memory...no text...no phone book...nothing but black screen and red numbers. Wow ...and that was only 9 years ago. Pretty scary to know what will be around 9 years from now right?

There is a great light at the end of the sad Blackerry tunnel called insurance! It only cost you a few dollars a month and for people like me it pays off! Shortly after work you can find me at the Verizon Wireless store getting a replacement...until then it looks like email will actually have to be checked on a computer...haha.

A New Table!

This past weekend at our yard sale, we sold what was left of our table and chairs in our dining area. This left us without a table or chairs and a lot of open space. Thankfully Mom and Dad said we could (as I like to call it) "store theirs for free". It looks AMAZING in our dining area now and it is so nice to have 6 chairs and a new table...yay! We rode back with them on Sunday to pick it up and drove straight back with the truck which means lots of traveling but it was WELL worth it!
That night we had some friends over and got to play cards on it...it was so nice.

Yay for a new table and Phase 10!

Brad and Rachel...
Kristen and Peter...
Ryan and Miles...Jeni was out of town for the night but we missed her!
For all that will visit and you think the table looks familiar...it's because it is. If you ever went to the beach house your probably have had a meal on it...

Mom and Dad Visit!

This weekend Mom and Dad came to visit and it was so much fun relaxing and spending time together. Dad helped Jesse put up another spot light on the back right side of the house and install speakers on our screened in porch. Now the entire back and side yard is lit all up and we can have music outside! While the boys were working on those outside tasks, Mom and I were washing all Bryson's stuff and getting it all ready for his arrival. We have to say thank you sooo much to Garyen and Beth for letting us borrow all Turner's clothes...let's just say Bryson is going to have PLENTY to wear.

This is Bryson's new chair we got from David and Debby...how cute? It has all his blankets in it...

So do you think he has enough clothes...and we haven't even had a baby shower yet! Wow...I cannot wait to get our little baby in these adorable clothes!
24 weeks...
Jesse and I at Bonefish Grill...yummmm! :)
Mom and Dad at Bonefish...so sweet!
Yay for family and a wonderful weekend!
